Peter Hughes
Chartered Accountant

About the practice

I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1997 with Malthouse & Company, a practice in Liverpool City Centre, and moved on in 1999 to work in property management. In January 2004 I started my own practice, initially in Birkenhead but then in York from 2008.

Prior to becoming an accountant I spent a number of years in banking after graduating from Oxford University in 1985.

I have expert technical knowledge in the areas of financial reporting, taxation (especially VAT) and company secretarial matters, and regularly write and present both public and in-house seminars for UK Training (Worldwide) Ltd. My work takes me to most large British cities including London, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, Reading and Glasgow. In 2010 I presented three VAT seminars in Zug, Switzerland.

Away from work, I am an active church bellringer and have a keen interest in hillwalking and cricket.
