Accountancy and tax compliance

Penalties for late submission of self-assessment tax returns start at £100. Companies filing their accounts at Companies House after the statutory deadline (nine months after the balance sheet date for private companies, six months for public companies) are subject to late filing penalties which start at £150 for private companies and rise further if the accounts are more than a month late. The Registrar of Companies can and does examine accounts for errors, and inaccurate accounts may be returned to the company.

A good accountant will help you avoid these penalties by compiling and submitting your accounts and tax returns, and interpreting the figures to help your business grow. Opportunities for tax savings will also be drawn to your attention where appropriate. My charges for all this are competitive. I do all the work myself and you will therefore not experience the frustration of dealing with a different member of staff every year.

Relationships with my clients are paramount. I am available throughout the year for advice, and for clients for whom I prepare accounts or tax returns, the additional advice usually carries no extra charge.

Contact me (see home page for details) if you are interested and I will give you an indication of my charges.
